Lucky in Love Scrapbook Layout

In honor of St Patty's day I put together this cute layout. I feel so lucky to have met the perfect husband for me!

I was feeling festive so I made this banner and hung it above one of the windows in the living room.

Poang Chair Cover

So in college a friend gave me her Ikea Poang chair. The cover on it was hideous (it had a HUGE ink stain and was just dirty) I had it covered with a blanket but it was high time I made a cover for it. I used this super cute Michael Miller fabric I found at the local quilt shop.

Love Polka Dots

This is the kitty's favorite chair, but ever since I made the cover I haven't seen her on it. Fine with me because she sheds everywhere. haha!

Small Deer Gift Bag

I love projects that I can make with scraps of fabric. It makes my stash smaller so I can buy more fabric (haha)! I think this would make a cute Mothers Day gift stuffed full of summer bulbs and maybe a homemade gardening apron?

Mr and Mrs Pillows

I used a natural fabric, freezer paper, my silhouette cameo and fabric paint to make these adorable pillows.

They even correspond to the correct side of the bed!

I Love You Lighted Lantern Banner

I love how this turned out! I used a string of 20 battery operated lights (that I already had, score!). I used my silhouette to design and cut out the lanterns. I have it hung in our bedroom above the window, but I couldn't get a good picture of it up there so I took the picture on the floor. It would be fun with battery operated Tea lights in the lanterns too.

Felt Flower Wreath

So while I was at the dollar store I also found grapevine wreaths, pretty exciting. I used turquoise, white and grey felt to make the flowers and then hot glued a pearl bead in the center of each flower. Not too bad for $1!

Solar Powered Sun Jar

On my recent trip to the dollar store I found solar powered yard stakes! So I bought one and transformed it into a sun jar. I filled the bottom of the jar with beach glass (also sold at the dollar store). I love how the light reflects on the counter.

These would be perfect at a wedding reception, they look pretty even in the light. Next time I think I will add shells inside.

Keep Calm and Craft On!

I thought my craft room needed a motto.

I wrapped a natural fabric around cardboard (old cereal box) and stenciled my design on with fabric paint. I designed my stencil in the Silhouette Studio software and cut it out on freezer paper. Then I added some embellishments.

Count Down to Kisses/ Valentines Decorations

I hung this on the door using a couple magnets so the hubby can't forget Valentines Day! haha! I glued a heart onto a toothpick to put in the envelope for the corresponding day. Or you could put little love notes into the envelopes.

I used my Silhouette to cut out mini envelopes, numbers and words to complete this "Count Down to Kisses" sign.

I also hung a sweet heart swag over the window. Valentines decorations almost done!

Thank You Cards

So the Hubby's Birthday came and went, but he got a lot of generous gifts so I used my silhouette to design and cut out some Thank You cards. I thought I would share since they turned out so cute!

Freezer Paper T-Shirt Pattern

I used my silhouette to cut freezer paper (so cheap!) to use as a T-shirt design. I have a friend who's a complete Back to the Future fan so this will be a fun gift (pardon the wrinkles it needs to be washed and ironed).
I simply cut a piece of freezer paper with my silhouette cameo and peeled the design off the cutting mat. Make sure the shiny side of the freezer paper faces down on the mat when cutting. Then you iron your design on the T-shirt and use a brush or foam brush to add the fabric paint (I even added a little glow in the dark, how fun!) then peel off the freezer paper and let dry. I'm so excited!

Valentine's Day Candy Shaped Box

Wouldn't these be fun for your kids Valentines day party, just stuff full of treats and tie the ends. I downloaded this pattern from the Silhouette studio online store.

I think I will fill one for the hubby ;)

Dinner Menu

So I found this half white board/cork board at the Goodwill for $1.99! I said to myself this would be an awesome menu board for the fridge, so it came home with me. I hot glued 4 magnets to the back and used my silhouette cameo to cut the words from vinyl. So easy and looks great on the fridge, don't you think?

Hot Who Owl Hot Pads

My Mom gave me this pattern {The Hot Who Owl Hot Pad Pattern}, for an early Christmas Present. I had a lot of fun making these for Christmas gifts this year.  I love projects where you can use some of the scrap fabric you have laying around the craft room. All the ladies in my family received one.

Birthday Sign

So I've been seeing these made a lot lately. I use to work at a craft store (so fun!) and we had one of these on display for an idea. You could use different colored ribbon if you would like, but this is what I had on hand. I ran out of mini clothes pins, so I will have to get more so I can add more birthdays!

Our Wedding Album

So this Christmas I got the best gift Ever! My soon to be sister-in-law made us a wedding scrapbook. I absolutely love it. No one has ever made me one before! You can check it out on her blogSo it inspired me to finish the 5 pages I had left in the one I was making. I hope SOON I can make her one for her wedding *wink, wink*

Tea Holder w/ Mug rug

We are tea freaks around here (mostly my hubby haha). Its always nice to have tea with you everywhere you go (usually you can get hot water when you go out somewhere) so I made this tea holder to slide into my purse. It holds a mug rug, my monkey tea infuser and a baggy full of loose leaf tea. Perfect.

More instructions on how to make this project to come, I'm going outside to play in the snow with my hubby!

Lighted Lantern

So I made this with my Silhouette Cameo! I downloaded the design using my $10 card that came with the Cameo. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Let me show you how, its so simple!

First you need to download the "box lace cube tent top" from the silhouette online store. Then send it to the silhouette to be cut.

Look what a great job this baby does!
So while the silhouette was doing it’s thing, I ironed two sheets of wax paper together.
Once the cameo is done you can peel off your design.

I used a craft blade to cut the wax paper to size to cover the squares.
Then glue the wax paper in place with a glue stick.
Fold the lantern on the perforated lines and add a electric tea-light, close the bottom.
  Ooo isn't it pretty!
Go find a dark place to get the full effect, I went to my laundry room

There are endless possibilities on what designs you can use. I modified the design in silhouette and added a robot, for my friend who loves robots. Wouldn't these be fun party favors!
